A quirky Italian vintage set of three matchstick pendant from the 1960's! This one-of-a-kind pendant is made of 800 silver and features a vibrant yellow, green and red rounded enamel match "head" - alas, the red enamel "head" has dislodged at some stage. The realistic looking matchsticks hang vertically and display a sleek four-sided silver surface. The matchsticks have a nice solid weight, totaling just over 8 grams. The silver rings each bear earlier Italian hallmarks; "800" denoting the silver purity and "92 AR" representing SO-VE di BURRONI UMBERTO silversmith (92) and Arezzo, Italy origin (AR). Another ring suspends from the three rings, allowing for a chain of your choice to be threaded through, or clip to attach from.
A rare and very cool set of vintage Italian matchsticks. A perfect gift to bring a little light into someone life! Lovely layered with other necklaces, or just as nice worn by itself!
