A stunning antique necklace and earrings set dating back to Edwardian era, circa 1901- 1910! The Australian necklace and earrings are composed of citrine and pearl gems. Five rectangle step-cut and five square step-cut citrine gems dazzle and dance along the front of necklace. The citrine gems are a beautiful golden amber hue. Five gently graduated sections suspend from the claw setting, each decorated with a double leaf motif across bar and accented with a lustrous white seed pearl. A delicate triangle-shape design intercepts along the front of necklace - each of the triangular-shaped designs are further adorned with seed pearls. Design ending with a graceful scroll motif, centrally set with a single seed pearl. A trace link chain makes up the rest of necklace with original barrel -style fastener.

The matching and complimenting earrings feature a double pearl leaf design and round-cut citrine gems. One of the top citrine gems face-up with a subtle golden yellow hue, other citrines appear more a golden amber hue. Common to have a slight variation in citrine shades with antique jewellery. Modern butterfly clips attach at back.

An Australian set, the early Australian maker is Duggin Shappere & Co of Melbourne (1896-1928). Corresponding Australian guarantee quality stamps can be seen on the reverse to central pendant; an 'anchor' which was the mark for Duggin Shappere & Co, '9' and the Australian 'sheaf' motif.

An exceptional antique set in excellent condition. Set will arrive in case pictured.
