An exceptional and rather unique diamond ring from the roaring retro era, dating to around mid 20th century! The distinct, bold design comprises of parallel lines, geometric styling, wide upswept band and seven dazzling diamonds. Adding another dimension to ring is an oval window across each upswept shoulder, one window larger than the other - displaying an eccentric asymmetric look. The diamonds are set individually into white gold settings, the two-tone white and yellow gold effect adds a beautiful contrast. Setting is suspended in between upswept shank. The seven natural diamond shapes range from one central emerald-cut, four baguette-cut and two round brilliant-cut. All appear to be a nice fine white F/H colour, and exceptionally clean VVS-VS clarity. Total estimated diamond weight is 0.82 carats.
Ring is handcrafted in a gleaming 18ct yellow and white gold, corresponding "750" carat stamp, along with "C", perhaps makers mark. The sturdy band measures 4.70mm wide at base to 13mm wide at shoulder peak. Setting measures 20mm along finger x 11mm across finger.
A striking and conspicuous look on the finger, I might add!
A wonderful vintage statement ring from the innovative Retro era. Suitable as an alternate engagement ring, or a dressy statement ring!
