A charming ladies antique pocket watch from the early Edwardian era, c1901! The open face pocket watch case is made of 18ct yellow gold, and the mechanical movement is presently in working order. The case is entirely decorated with beautiful ornate patterns; the combination of machine turning and hand engraving. To the back features a floral enamel-embellished wreath surrounding an engravable shield cartouche. There is some enamel loss.

Reading the time to this graceful timepiece is a delight to the eye. The gold-tone face features an embossed floral pattern against a textured background and various machine turned encircled patterns ... adding further texture and charm! Classic black roman numerals allows for easy-reading and purple anodized hands reads the time. The case has two backs - the main back and a mechanism dust-cover. Both front and back covers snap close firmly. The back plates are both stamped with "K18" and case number "39514" along with small hand engraved numerals and letters (likely dates/initials of watchmaker services during the last century).
The intricate ruby jeweled movement has a top-wind, pin set cylinder mechanism. A wind of the 'onion' crown should be done periodically to kick start the cogs. It does not keep perfect timing, which is typical of a watch this age. The original engraved bow can be used to clip your favorite fob chain to, or utilized as a ring for your necklace if worn as watch pendant.

A wonderful antique ladies fob watch. Perfect to wear as a watch pendant, and would make a lovely gift for the distinct lady!
