A superb gold pearl and citrine brooch from the Victorian era, c1890! Made of 9ct gold, this sensational antique brooch boasts one good-sized natural citrine gemstone with pearl-accented triangular claws. The beautiful citrine gemstone displays a bright golden yellow hue and is an eye clean clarity, it is a well cut in a faceted oval shape. Estimated weight of the citrine is 54 carats. The nicely handmade mount features six triangular shaped claws which are individually decorated with a lustrous white seed pearl. A heavy-duty single collet undercarriage gives extra support and impact to the piece. A pin and c-loop are attached to the reverse, as well as a safety chain/pin for extra security whilst wearing. No stamps are sighted to the piece, an XRF test indicates 9ct to 10ct gold.
The size of the brooch measures 3.40cm length (tip to tip) x 2.50cm wide and 1.00cm depth.

| The antique brooch presents in excellent antique condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no major marks or damage to the setting or stones. The citrine presents in excellent undamaged order, and pearls appear all original to the piece. The pin works well. A gorgeous antique piece! |
