A large and versatile gold safety pin brooch from the 1970's! British in origin and crafted in 9ct yellow gold, this heavy duty functional safety pin is hand crafted from 1.40mm rounded gauge wire curled at one end to form a natural spring tension into a solid 'C' style cap. To the reverse of the cap bears English hallmarks for London, year 1976.
The simple design gives endless ideas of uses from being a charm hanger, a simple brooch, securing thick fabric such as shawl or scarf, or on the end of a chain to lengthen it or give a place to secure pendants.
Total length of the safety pin measures 6cm or 2 & 1/4" inches.
