An absolutely exquisite platinum and diamond brooch from the mid 20th century! The striking Art Deco style brooch is hand made of platinum and scintillates with fourty-six baguette diamonds, thirty of which are custom cut elongated shapes, all resting in smooth rubbed in settings and set meticulously to form a sensational 'chevron' geometric design.
The baguette diamonds estimated combined weight is 3.49 carats, with each displaying F-H colour range and VS1 clarity. The fine quality diamonds showcasing beautifully in the eye-catching design.
To the back of the brooch is a pin and revolver fitting which firmly secures in place. Additionally, there is a ring if you wish to add a safety chain.
Upon purchase the vintage diamond brooch would be accompanied by a photographic valuation certificate for insurances purposes, carried out independently by a registered NCJV/FGAA valuer. *The insurance replacement value of the brooch, dated 23rd of September 2024, was $ 14,780 AUD. The vintage brooch presents in excellent condition. Besides general surface wear, the platinum retains a nice surface sheen, and all diamonds are intact and securely set in their settings. Clasp works well with firm tension. A wonderful vintage brooch! |
