Here is a wonderful antique bow brooch or pendant from the Victorian era, circa 1880! Crafted in lustrous 21 carat gold, this spectacular piece depicts a chunky three-dimensional bow design decorated with appliques of granule and rope lines. The simple yet elegant design indicative of the late 19th century.
To the reverse reveals an oval (once) compartment and later pin and revolver clasp, there is also a twirled wire allowing for a chain to slide through for wear as a pendant, if desired.
The piece measures 4.50cm wide, 3.10cm height and approx. 1.50cm thick.

The condition of the antique brooch is very good. Besides normal surface wear, the brooch faces up well with no damage noted. The reverse 'compartment' looks to be missing the closure and any inserts it may have had. The clasp works well. Overall, superb for her age! |
