A lovely vintage marcasite necklace from the Art Deco era, c1930's! Made of sterling silver, this gorgeous necklace features graduated cross-over loop links interspaced by smaller fan shaped links - all dazzling with marcasite accents! Decorative milgrain edging adds further Art Deco flair. An original snail chain makes up the other half of the necklace, and bolt ring clasp securely fastens the necklace. A double 'STERLING' stamp can be sighted to the reverse of the front link, as well as the bolt ring clasp. The necklace retains a darkened patina, giving further depth of character. Draping at a timeless 16" length at the neckline.

The overall condition of the vintage necklace is excellent. Besides normal surface wear the necklace presents in fabulous vintage condition for the 90 or so year age. The marcasite stones appear all original, intact and securely set. The necklace retains it's natural patina, which adds further depth of character, though can be polished if you prefer.
