A timeless antique trace necklace from the early Edwardian era, c1900! Made of 18ct yellow gold, this smooth necklace retains it's wonderful bloomed surface finish, alike a buttery matte look which was typical of the era. The classic trace, also known as cable link, has a solid structure (not hollow) and measures approximately 1.5mm gauge. Attached is the original barrel clasp which fastens with a firm click. Stamps near the clasp are undecipherable, an XRF test affirms solid 18ct gold.
Draping at the base of the neck, the necklace measures 15.5" inches, or around 39.7cm total length.

The antique necklace presents in superb condition. Besides light normal surface wear, the links look to have had very little wear with no thinning or wear in between links evident. Clasp works well with a nice click when fastened |
