This adorable antique turtle pendant dates to the early Edwardian era, c1900's! Made of 9ct gold, this fine fellow is accented with bright green paste stones and natural seed pearls. The turtle shell, which is rounded, dazzles with ten old-cut green paste stones along with twenty-seven natural seed pearls all neatly amalgamating with a border to the centre stones, giving extra details. Ruby-coloured paste eyes add further character to this wonderful antique turtle piece.
The reverse side is just as lovely with a textured and engraved surface representing the turtle belly. A lovely rose gold colour along with a yellow hue can be seen to the back - the subtle wear of the original gold wash (typical of the era) giving a warm two-tone appearance, indicative of antique gold. The front faces up more yellow in colour. An oval jump ring to the top allows for a chain of your choice to easily slide through, or it can be added to your favourite bracelet as a charm.
Size of the pendant measures 2.80cm long including bail, and body measures 1.00cm wide.
Effortlessly matching with Antique Edwardian 15ct Yellow Gold & Natural Pearl Trace Necklace, 18" *Paired last image on neckline.
