This exquisite mid-20th century cultured Akoya pearl necklace, dating from circa 1960, features a stunning 30-inch opera-length design, showcasing eighty-two lustrous Akoya saltwater type pearls ranging from 7.95mm to 8.40mm in size. Newly handstrung and knotted, the necklace is complemented by a beautifully crafted 18ct gold clasp adorned with a cushion cut garnet and Akoya pearl halo, enhancing its luxurious appeal.

Upon purchase the vintage Akoya pearl necklace would be accompanied by a photographic valuation certificate for insurances purposes, carried out independently by a registered NCJV/FGAA valuer. *The insurance replacement value of the necklace dated 30th of September 2024 was $10,450 AUD. Superb vintage condition. Besides normal surface wear there is no damage to the pearls, clasp or gems in clasp. The clasp is in great working order and the necklace has been newly restrung, ready to go! |
