Here is a wonderful early Akoya pearl necklace from the Art Deco era, circa 1930's! Recently restrung by hand with knots on silk, this graduated necklace showcases one hundred and eighteen high-luster, creamy white Akoya (saltwater) pearls. These pearls boast exceptionally clean skins, a lovely matching quality, and a radiant glow characteristic of fine vintage Akoya nacre.
The pearls are a round to near-round shape and have been meticulously calibrated. The largest pearl, measuring 6.50mm, graces the front of the necklace, gracefully graduating to the smallest pearls of 2.90mm at the back.
An older style tube clasp secures the necklace, additionally a bolt ring safety chain is attached for added security whilst wearing. Both are sterling silver.
With its elegant Matinée length of 20 inches, this necklace is perfectly suited for layering with your other treasured jewellery or can be worn beautifully on its own.
A truly timeless pearl necklace, an ideal addition for any pearl admirer.
