This wonderful mid-20th century cultured pearl necklace, dating back to c1960, features a single strand of ninety-seven luminous Akoya pearls, meticulously graduated in size from 3.50mm to 7.30mm at the front. Each pearl displays a creamy white hue and exquisite luster, giving a timeless elegance.
The necklace is newly hand strung and secured with an elegant 14ct gold "bow" clasp, which is adorned with a 5.00mm cultured Akoya pearl at its center. The clasp has a tongue mechanism along with a safety figure 8 latch for added security, stamped "14K585" along with a possible maker's mark to the back.
Measuring just over 17 inches (44 cm), it gracefully rests near or below the collarbone, making it a perfect accessory for both formal and casual occasions.
