A fabulous vintage amethyst cocktail ring from the mid 20th century, circa 1960! Made of 9ct yellow gold, this eye-catching ring has an artistic rope design surrounding a stunning natural amethyst stone at the center. The amethyst exhibits a vivid mid-deep purple hue and has a superior 'eye clean' clarity. Fashioned in a beautiful emerald cut, the amethyst has an estimated weight of 12.16 carats... and it is not shy on the finger, if I might add! The twist rope surround and open 'chevron' shoulders adds further style and dimension to this stunning ring. No stamps are sighted to the mount, an XRF test indicates 9ct gold.

Finger size of the ring is P (Aus/UK) 8 (USA).

The vintage ring presents in excellent condition. Besides normal surface wear, there is no damage to the mount or setting. The amethyst does bear very light table wear which is consistent with the 60 + year age, albeit the subtle wear does not affect the overall brightness or look of the stone. The stone is securely set. A gorgeous vintage ring!
