A superb antique English gold signet ring from the late Edwardian era, c1917! Made of 18ct rosy yellow gold, this fabulous signet ring has a gorgeous buttery smooth surface and features a squared signet face with lovingly worn monogram. A crisp set of English stamps can be seen on the inside of the band telling us the history of the ring; manufactured year was 1917 in Birmingham, England. Makers marks "H C&S" can be sighted as well, alas we were unable to ascertain the ring to a particular Birmingham jeweller. Measuring 12.30mm wide at the top face, it tapers down to form a subtle dome profile shank measuring 3.80mm wide at the base. The ring carries a nice solid 8.61-gram gold weight. Originally made for a man, today this signet ring would suit any gender.
The monogram is difficult to decipher due to wear. It can be re-engraved, or completely polished off to reinstate personalized monogram.
Finger size of the signet ring measures R (Aus/UK) or 9 (USA).
