A timeless Old England watch pendant necklace from the 1970's! Made of sterling silver this simple yet stylish manual watch pendant keeps perfect time with a wind of the sapphire-accented crown! The sleek modernist design displays a plain brushed dial with elegant dauphine hands, signed 'Old England' and 'Sterling Silver'. The back of the case is stamped 'OLD ENGLAND WATCHES LTD' 'STERLING' HALLMARKED IN LONDON', also stamped is a set of the British Import marks - Leo symbol, '.925' and date letter stamp 't' (1974). There is also a hand engraved message which adorns the back case - 'Merry Christmas Sunshine, From Peter'. The watch pendant suspends from a 29" long belcher (clasp-less) necklace which can be easily be placed on and over head.
The watch brand, Old England, was created by designer Richard Loftus in 1967. It was part of Accurist, and quickly became one of the top fashion watch brands in the United States and United Kingdom with the likes of Twiggy, The Beatles and Princess Anne sporting the brand.
The watch pendant measures 2.90cm across and the length of the belcher necklace measures 74cm (29") long

| The vintage timepiece is in excellent vintage condition. Besides general surface wear, the pendant watch presents in excellent condition. The movement currently works well, albeit has not been overhauled so does not come with any guarantees |
