Such a sweet vintage watch this is, it's Swiss and made by Jewelex! The darling design is reminiscent of the Retro era, with Art Deco influence, circa 1950.
The delicate open 'rail' work band features raised and scattered marcasite-set quatrefoil (almost flower-like) profiles. Interspaced and placed across is marcasite encrusted double-bar hinged sections. The case bezel is further adorned all the way around with marcasite gems and two marcasites are placed either side of lugs. Adding further vintage charm is the engraved scroll pattern along the sides of watch case. The light cream/champagne coloured dial contrasts nicely with the gold-tone hands, batons and numerals '12', '3', '6' and '9'.
Case and band of watch are crafted in 9ct rose gold and a plated/brass clasp attaches to back. Stamped "9CT" to band, and "9CT" inside case. The clasp appears to have been a replacement at some stage, albeit works in a practical manner and allows slight give (for length) at each clasp end.
The manual-wind Swiss 15 jewel mechanism is in working order. A simple wind of the crown to kick-start the cogs is needed every time it's worn. Signed "Jewelex" to movement.
The case measures 20.80mm long x 14.70mm wide. Width of band measures 5.50mm -6.0mm and watch length measures 7" inches length or 18cm (a very small amount of give in clasp).
A sweet vintage watch for the lady with distinct taste!
