Such a charming vintage cocktail watch this is, dating back to circa 1940's-50's! The entire watch is made in sterling silver, and has recently had a mechanism service, new glass and clean, so already to go! It is made by the iconic Swiss brand, 'Bentley' with German casing.
The fanciful ribbon swirl case and geometric band exudes the combined Art Deco and Retro flair. Tiny marcasite gems dazzle around the case, as well as the entire band ... right down to the integrated push clasp! The adorable miniature textured dial is a light golden cream colour, and there is yellow-tone hands along with 12,3,6,9 numerals and batons. Commensurate with age, there is a scratch on dial placed on the numeral 8 path (at a quick glance to the naked eye it almost looks like a 3rd watch hand!), albeit worth mentioning. An elegant hand-engraved swirl pattern decorates the edges of case giving extra charm to this vintage beauty. The entire watch is crafted in precious sterling silver.
The watch is made by the Swiss brand 'Bentley'. This particular Bentley brand was established in the late 1940's in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland - a town steeped in the history of Swiss horology! The Swiss manual-wind 17 jewel mechanism has been serviced & oiled, it has also had a new glass. There is a 6 months guarantee from date of purchase. A simple wind of the crown to kick-start the cogs is needed every time it's worn. The sterling silver case and band is German-made, corresponding stamp inside case "MADE IN GERMANY" along with "925SILVER" on the outside of case
The case measures 22mm long x 15.00mm wide and the marcasite band measures 8.10mm - 5.30mm wide. Length of watch measures 17cm. A simple push tongue clasp fastens the bracelet, and there is a safety chain connected for extra security.
