A divine vintage ladies watch brooch from the Art Deco period, circa 1930's! The timepiece is made in sterling silver and has recently had a service- not skipping a beat within 24 hours! An eye-catching design which oozes Art Deco pizazz! The watch pendant features a graduated fluted 'petal' case along with a circular bezel, the case and bezel is accented with sparkling marcasite gems. The timepiece is suspended onto marcasite shaped-links and further adorned with a decorative moon-shaped brooch to the top, also accented with marcasite gems. The light cream coloured dial features rose gold colour hands, along with yellow gold numerals and hour markers. The dial reads 'PHILIPPE BEGUIN GENEVE and "17 JEWELS INCABLOC"

The timepiece is made by made by Swiss jewellery company 'Philippe Beguin' - a once prestigious Geneve jeweler which was well-known for selling the Rolex brand. The Swiss manual-wind 17 jewel mechanism works well. A simple wind of the flower decorated crown to kick-start the cogs is needed every time it's worn. The sterling silver case and band is stamped on the back of the case with "0.925" denoting sterling silver, "HJC" along with the Swiss 'lotus flower' stamp with the letter 'G' (Geneve) and '1' (925 fineness) inside the cartouche. The brooch also bears stamps to the back.
The watch has a wonderful patina to the sterling silver, adding further texture and character.

The timepiece measures 6cm total drop and the case measures 2.50cm across. A metal pin and revolver clasp securely fastens the brooch.

A gorgeous marcasite timepiece oozing vintage character. A perfect gift to give someone special!
