An elegant sapphire and diamond ladies watch from the Art Deco period, c1925! This beautiful watch is crafted in platinum with a plated band. The watch is in working order. The delicate and feminine design features a sleek rectangular watch face made of platinum. Sparkling diamonds and baguette synthetic sapphires line each end of the watch in a step and tapered geometric design... oozing wonderful Art Deco pizzazz! Fine milgrain detail surrounds the bead set stones and exquisite hand-engraving embellishes the rest of watch case, including the back! The face of the watch has blue metallic hands and numerals in black lettering, along with the words "SWISS MADE" placed at the bottom of the dial. The dial colour is a light ivory cream. A winder can be found at the side. The later addition band is attached by two sturdy rings at the lugs and formed in a slender 3-bar 'gate' style link. There is an integrated tongue clasp, safety chain and figure 8 safety catch for extra security.

The watch case along the side is stamped "950" denoting platinum. Another stamp alongside, as well as on the lug is the Austrian domestic platinum stamp - a "moth" with the letter 'W'" inside an irregular-shaped cartouche. The letter "W" denoting Wien/Vienna assay office. There are also two letters stamped to the side of the case which is difficult to decipher, perhaps 'R.H'. The watch band is stamped "18K" along with a 'lion passant' mark, albeit tests indicate plated metal.

An elegant ladies watch from the wonderful Art Deco era. A dazzling timepiece, sure to please any Art Deco enthusiast!
