A timeless sapphire cluster ring from the Edwardian era, c1910's! The hand made ring is made of 9ct rose gold and silver. Taking centre stage is a natural unheated sapphire, it is a pale blue 'Ceylon' type colour and faceted in a native cushion cut. Visible under magnification are inclusions indicative of natural, unheated sapphire. Estimated weight of the blue sapphire is 1.10 carats. Dazzling around the blue sapphire are ten white sapphires - they are the old synthetic verneuil type, typical of the era. Stones are claw set in silver settings. Underneath the settings feature a beautiful hand-pierced rose gold undercarriage which adds further antiquity charm to the ring. A sturdy and lovely upswept shank makes up the rest of the ring, measuring 2.50mm wide and tapering inward at the shoulders. The ring is not stamped, however tests indicate 9ct rose gold and silver settings.
A charming antique cluster ring. Perfect for the sapphire admirer, or perhaps the special lady with a September birthday!
