A vintage sterling silver citrine brooch or pendant from the 1920's! The piece is made of sterling silver and the aged patina has been left adding further depth of character to the piece. Taking center stage is the whopping natural quartz citrine gemstone! A rare find in this size, it's estimated weight is around 70.00 carats. It is possible the citrine hails from the Cairngorm mountains in Scotland given the large size, brown tinge, and overall aesthetics of the piece. The citrine radiates with a burst of golden yellow, and the faceted elongated oval cut is striking. It rests in a hand made bezel collet and is bordered with a beautiful hand engraved and scalloped shaped border. There is remnants of milgrain detail to the bezel and border edge which adds further detail to this gorgeous piece. Attached behind is a pin and revolver clasp, there is also a jump ring at the top which may be used for a chain to slide through to be worn as a bold pendant. Style to suit your desired look with this piece!
A mesmerizing citrine brooch pendant, not for the faint-hearted! Something a little rare in this size and would make a bold addition to any to collection!
Citrine is often associated with health, hope, and joy. It is a birthstone for November.

The overall condition of the piece is excellent . Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the silver, stone or clasp. Hand engraving is still relatively crisp. Natural patina has been left on the silver surface, it can be polished if you prefer. A wonderful vintage piece! |
