From the Edwardian, Art Nouveau era is this adorable antique sterling silver purse. The purse features pretty floral and foliage engraving to the front, there is an engraved love heart with the name "Kitty" engraved in the centre. The repousse border to the engraving is reminiscent to Art Nouveau era and the back of purse also features Art Nouveau repousse detail. Enclosed reveals four compartments of tan leather interior, all in pretty good condition, I might add too! Attached is a sterling silver chain and finger or chatelaine ring, which back in the day, was likely to have hung from the waist as a chatelaine purse.
Some English hallmarks are clearly seen with a full set stamped to the back; Chester provenance, dated 1907 (letter 'G"), maker's mark- E. J. Trevitt & Sons ("T&S") and lion rampant for sterling silver.
