A tantalizing vintage opal unisex ring dating back to the 1970's or so! A solid constructed ring hand made in a gleaming 18ct yellow gold, the eye is drawn towards the Australian solid opal which measures 14.80mm long x 11.20mm wide - an impressive size on the finger, I might add! The solid opal is predominantly light grey in body colour, and has a scintillating play-of-colour, emitting fiery red flecks along with purple, green and orange - highlighted further in daylight, and like all opal, best seen in real life to be fully appreciated. The opal is raised in a bezel setting, and stepped down and bordered with an elongated gold rim which has a subtle rounded finish, creating a sleek elegance. A solid convex undercarriage forms below, and sturdy 3.9mm - 5.50mm wide flat profile shank makes up the rest of ring. The ring is stamped "18CT" denoting 18ct gold.
Finger size measures '6' (USA) or 'L 1/2' (AUS). Head of ring measures 23mm along finger x 14.30mm across, and setting height is 8.70mm.
A gorgeous, impressive Australian opal ring! Perfect for the lady or man born in October (opal birthstone), or for the opal enthusiast!
