A handsome Antique sterling silver jug dating back to Georgian Era- circa 1798. This sterling silver jug bears the full set of hallmarks; silver standard mark – 'lion' (925), city mark 'crowned leopards head' (London), date letter 'C' (1798) and makers mark- 'SH' in cut-off corners cartouche (Solomon Hougham).

This Georgian jug features a reed border to the rim and handle.

4"inches or 10cm in height from spout to base, and 3- 2/8 / 8.34cm wide from spout to handle
presents very good and un-damaged -there are no major dents nor deep scratches, however does show signs of age and use with light surface scratches; overall very good for 218 years old! has had a light polish.
