Such a charming original vintage watch this is! The darling watch is designed with Art Deco in mind .... the decorative crescent band and lugs are made in sterling silver including the expandable clasp. Crown (side winder) is stainless steel. The band and case are encrusted with sparkly marcasite gems... so pretty! The light silver toned dial features rose gold hands with easy-to-read rose gold numerals. There is a hand-engraved pattern along the upper edge of case, giving extra charm to this vintage beauty..
The case measures 20.00mm long x 17.00mm wide and the decorative band measures 8.30mm wide at lugs tapering down to 5.4mm wide near clasp. Total length is 17cm with about 1/2 cm give (stretch).
The manual-wind 17 jewels mechanism has been serviced & oiled, whilst the glass, case and band has been restored back to its former glory. A simple wind of the crown to kick-start the cogs is needed every time it's worn.
The Geneva watch company 'Camy' was founded in Grenchen in 1913, Raymond Weil worked there from 1949 and stayed for more than a quarter of a century, before starting his own watch company.
