A step back to the Retro 60's with this watch brooch! The good sized Corocraft timepiece is designed in the form of a helm and embellished with leaf motifs in-between. A plain bezel with rope border surrounds the face. Connected by a tapered bail is a bow-shaped brooch - the similar leaf-motif design compliments nicely.
This timepiece can also be worn as a pendant. The brooch section can be detached - there is an unhitched section on reverse of bail which allows removal. A safety chain and pin is connected for extra security, however can be removed if you wish.
The Swiss manual-wind 5-jewel mechanism is all in working order. A wind of the crown is needed before wearing.
Signed "Corocraft" underneath 12 on dial along with "Swiss made" underneath 6. Corocraft or otherwise known as Coro was one of the more notable costume jewellery company's. Coro was founded in New York in 1901 until it went bankrupt in 1979. Great Britain 'Corocraft' mechanical patents have been found (such as this one!) from 1961 until 1969 which documents production in England. (courtesy illusionjewels.com)
