An elegant antique aquamarine and seed pearl brooch from the late Edwardian, c1910's! Made of 15ct yellow gold the beautiful bar design features a natural bright aquamarine stone at the centre flanked by two natural seed pearls. The gorgeous and classic Edwardian design displays hints of the transition Art Deco era too, with geometric flair and milgrain detail. An icy pale blue aquamarine dazzles from the centre of the brooch, it rests in a bezel collet and has an 'orbit' surround. Two little white seed pearls rest either side in diamond-shaped plates - the pearls and plates have a subtle graduation. A slender and slightly tapered bar measuring 5.50cm long makes up the rest of the design. To the back of the brooch there is a 9ct rose gold pin and split 'C' loop connection. There is also a 14ct gold safety chain/pin attached to the back, for additional security whilst wearing.
