This hansom sterling silver match safe is English hallmarked for Birmingham, 1928- the makers marks are difficult to decipher. The exterior of box is a plain, un-monogrammed surface - it would make a classy little gift as initials or special words can be engraved onto, or perhaps you may like to leave plain. The interior has a gold wash. In the day this box may have been used as a match safe, however today can be used to store pills or miniature keepsakes ...use to your desired need! We have given a light polish which has given the surface a lovely sheen.
