A beautiful and one of a kind pair of antique ruby and pearl dangle earrings - the ornate dangle section dating back to the Victorian era (c1880) and the upper fittings from the 20th century! Once upon a time the ornate dangles were a slide along a 19th century necklace, however somewhere along the years were redesigned into these utterly gorgeous pair of pendant earrings! Each ornate front is painstakingly overlaid with florets, foliage and scrolls, all amalgamating in tricolour 18ct gold … giving further contrast and intricacy! One foil back natural pink ruby (and today known as pink sapphires!) bedecks the centre and there are natural little white seed pearls placed at each end of the design, adding to the delightful organic scene! The reverse of the earrings are just as scrumptious with fancy hand engraving - each pattern slightly different in bespoke Victorian design. Charming! Original Victorian chain suspends and connects to the recent ring tops which sit flush on the earlobe. Post and butterfly fittings attach from behind.
A very ornate and stunning pair of dangle earrings, sure to make an impression whilst wearing, night or day!
