A wonderful pair of vintage opal and zircon dangle earrings from the Art Deco era, c1930! The earrings are handmade in 9ct rose gold and topped in silver. The elegant earrings consists of two oval clusters accented with radiant natural precious jelly opal and surrounded with dazzling white zircon stones. The larger bottom cluster suspends from a foliate-motif link which is further adorned with three zircon stones. The beautiful jelly opals display a striking luminescence with a predominant play of blue and green, with flashes of reddish-orange and yellow … which really dance in the daylight! The round old-cut zircon stones twinkle like diamonds. Adding further Deco charm is the elaborate hand piercing to the cluster backs …the attention to detail is divine! Recent posts and butterfly clips make up the rest of the earrings. No stamps to the earrings are sighted, tests indicate 9ct rose gold and sterling silver.
A tantalizing pair of vintage dangle earrings - sure to receive compliments!
