A sparkling vintage articulated diamond pendant from the mid to late 20th century! Made of 22ct yellow gold the pendant dazzles with sixteen round brilliant cut diamonds. The gleaming white diamonds are calibrated and graduate in size from 0.04 carats to 0.07 carats each, totaling approximately 0.80 carats of G-I colour range and SI2 - P1 clarity range. Each are individually placed into four-claw pierced collet settings which form a seven row tiered 'diamond' shape. Adding gorgeous aesthetics to the vintage pendant is the slight movability function, alike a 'bunch of grapes', the pendant is constructed in four sections riveted together and finished with a unique stylized wire back. The subtle movement and stepped heights give a stunning twinkle to the diamonds whilst wearing!. Making up the rest of the pendant is a small fixed loop and grooved triangular shaped runner which suspends from the top. No stamps are sighted to the pendant, tests indicate 22ct gold.
The intricate and complex multi-assembled design and material utilized is suggestive of the popular Peranakan jewelry which is a hybrid of Chinese, Malay and Indo- European influences.
An impressive vintage diamond pendant, so sleek and sure to dazzle any neckline!
