A lustrous Mikimoto pearl necklace from the mid 20th century, c1950! The newly restrung necklace comprises of a single graduated strand of ninety-five luminous Akoya pearls. Each pearl is meticulously calibrated from 7.00mm largest at front, working its way down to 3.30mm near the clasp. The pearls¬†display a lovely¬†subtle creamy white hue, each matching superbly with an extremely clean skin and spectacular surface lustre which radiates from each pearl ... all indicative of the superior Mikimoto pearl brand! The pearls are newly hand strung onto white silk with a rectangular-shaped pierced and textured sterling silver 'box' clasp securely fastening the strand. Stamped "S" (denoting sterling silver) and signed with Mikimoto's signature "M" in a clamshell frame to the reverse of the clasp. The pearl necklace comes with the original Mikimoto green velvet case pictured. A classic princess length, measuring 18" inches long.
