Here is a recent bonnie example of Scottish alike pebble jewellery, made early 21st century and featuring one bright central orange glass stone (imitating the Scottish cairngorm!) along with green malachite and reddish brown jasper segments. The detailed sterling silver brooch features a deeply carved silver surface with wonderful Celtic elements. A unique sculptured shape with a stylized base, spear-like top and rounded sides adds a striking heraldry look to the piece. A pin and revolver clasp to the back makes up the rest of the piece. The reverse bears a set of London hallmarks, dating the piece to year 2000. Maker 'D.S' unknown.

The overall condition of the brooch is superb. Besides normal surface wear, the piece presents in excellent condition no damage of noted wear to the stones. The clasp works well. A lovely estate brooch! |
