A fabulous antique guard necklace dating to the late 19th century, c1890! Made of Rolled Gold, the gold hue is a lovely warm rosy yellow colour. The timeless and elegant rope link has a smooth and slinky feel, allowing for a nice drape on the neckline. An original sturdy dog clip clasp attaches to the necklace, it is stamped "AHB & CO" denoting a 19th century Boston, USA company which were listed as Little, A.H.B & Co gold & silver platers in the 1865 Boston MA directory.
The long length enables the necklace to be worn doubled (60cm) or single (120cm) around the neck … giving great versatility to be styled to your desired look! The link thickness measures around 3mm.
