A charming vintage marcasite bow from the late Art Deco era, c1940! Made of sterling silver this lovely brooch depicts a very neat bow. The slightly puffed bow shimmers with hand-set marcasite stones throughout the front surface. All set within a wonderful milled-accented streamline geometric pattern, adding further Art Deco pizzazz! A pin and secure revolver clasp attaches to the back. No stamps are sighted to the piece (not unusual for the era) albeit tests indicate sterling sliver. 

A beautiful bow brooch of the era, a timeless piece which would easily complement today's fashion!

The condition of the brooch is excellent. Besides normal surface wear and natural patina the brooch presents in fabulous condition for the 70 or so year age! There are no marcasite stones missing, or damaged, and all appear original hand-set stones. A lovely vintage piece!
