A charming little Victorian stick pin featuring a five-pointed leaf, or maybe a maple leaf! The leaf is embellished with six white cultured seed pearls; five surrounding pearls measure 1.80mm and central pearl measures 2.60mm. This leaf stick pin comes in very old box.
The leaf and pin are unmarked, but acid test indicates 9ct gold. The gold colour is in between a yellow and rose- it appears to have had a yellow gilded finish, as like so many pieces of this era. The yellow gilding is more evident on the back of leaf, leaving the front of leaf a subtle & warm gold hue. Leaf measures 10.2mm x 11mm, total length of pin is 3 3/0" inches.
